hello!

As Deb mentioned, a family reunion is in the works. We have rented the Avalon ballroom in Remsen. The aunts and uncles felt that this would be the best place for us, given the large numbers!! The date is set for Sunday, June 27th. at a charge of $350. We are asking families to contribute $50 towards the hall, with any leftover money going towards such things as paper plates, utensils, etc...

Mary Weiler Schipper and I started the ball rolling on this, but it's important that more people get involved in the planning! And, this blog is a great way to do this! What's neat about this blog, too, is that it's free, and we can continue on staying connected... forever! lol

I will try to get email addresses for at least one member per family, to send out an invite to join. I hope then, that they, in turn, will get their family members on here.

Theisen re-union in 2010!!

Hello, Aunt's, Uncles and cousins!! 

 I know a re-union is in the works and thought that a blog would be an easy way for us to communicate and plan for this event.  But also I think it will be fun for us to start exchanging news and pictures before the re-union.  So here it goes, the first posting!!

Some info about me...Rick and I live in Burt IA, he farms and does carpentry, I'm Director of Nursing at the Titonka Care Center.  My oldest daughter Sarah and her husband Greg live close by with her family.  They have 3 beautiful daughters.  Renee lives in Martin, TN with  her husband Ricky.  She is working on her doctorate in history and teaches part-time at the University of Tennesee.  Jessica and her husband live in Sioux City.  She recently started a new profession, she is an administrator-in-training  at a care center there.  They have adorable quadruplets, 13 months old, 3 boys and a girl.  They keep us all busy.  Philip and his wife Kelly live in Council Bluffs, they both teach 7th grade math and are working on their masters.  Joe is a CPA n Minneapolis.  That's us in a nutshell!!
